Kalahari Vacation

Spring Training

This was one of Lukie's favorite part of our vacation. So he's going to blog about it for me.

Hi everybody this is Luke! We got to go to a baseball game. AND guess who was playing!!!!

Some of the highlight of the day for me were....

Seeing Albert Pujols play!!!!!!!!!!!

He was REALLY close!

When the players saw Sarah Beth they wanted to give her their autographs,
because she was so cute in her St. Louis Cardinals dress :)


I also really liked the yummy Lemon Chill slushy and eating my hot dog!
I was a little sad that Yadier Molina wasn't playing that day because he was playing with Puerto Rico.
We got really sunburned!

We had a VERY fun time!

Luke age 7

LIght House

After visiting the beach we went to see a light house. I stayed in the car with Sarah Beth, who was taking a nap, and read my book while the rest of my family climbed up all 105 steps to the very top of the light house. I don't have much to say about this part of the vacation..... they took plenty of pictures of the inside of the light house and of the spectacular view from it's deck, but I'm going to follow Gilbert Blythe's advice to Anne Shirley and "Write about something you know."

This was they only part of visiting the lighthouse that I get to see.

The Atlantic

After leaving the turtle hospital we headed East.
Some of us wanted to get our feet wet.




Even Sarah Beth.



Some of us got more then just our feet wet.

Some of us just watched from the beach.

And enjoyed the sunshine.

Turtles and Tropical Fish

After our safe arrival into Palm Beach and settling in to our new "home" we headed out into the Florida sunshine!

Sea Turtles.

It was very interesting.

And beautiful!

We ALL enjoyed it!

Travel

So now that we've been home for a week I think it's about time I posted a little about our time in Florida.

Over all it went really well. The weather was beautiful and we made some great memories. My whole family went, all eleven of us, rolling through airports in a looong line, loading and unloading a million pieces of luggage, taking up whole shuttles, filling up airplanes and basically being big and loud and jolly!

Vacation

Florida Here We Come!

Vacations.....

I guess if they weren't so rare they wouldn't be so enjoyable.

I enjoyed our two day vacation very much. I came home feeling refreshed, not especially rested but refreshed :)



Just a day or two away from work, away from home, with family and a with a will to have fun!



We went on the Upper Dells Tour on the Wisconsin River. Which was very interesting and pretty.

It was just nice to be together
